Island Packet introduces, yes, a catamaran. The Packet Cat 35 represents a new concept for IPY, offering a choice for more vacation-minded cruisers. Its patented hull design was tested with a rough and ready prototype (a plywood deck screwed to the hull and painted Army gray) in the Gulf of Mexico (Bob and Engineering Dept. suspected as refugees!). The Packet Cat enjoyed a six-year run in which 41 were built. In Europe, our market increases with a new dealership in The Netherlands.
